Japanese "The Art of Chokin" Collectible Plate with 24K Gold Rim
Item Details
A Japanese Art of Chokin collectible plate with 24K gold rim. The piece depicts a hummingbird hovering over flowers. The plate is rimmed with double gold painted borders. Chokin was developed in the 6th century to decorate shrines, temples, helmets and samurai swords. The method used is etching copper plate and then gilding with gold and silver. The back is marked as a limited edition plate, 24K gold rim by Dynasty Gallery.
