An original lithographic advertisement for Ranger Joe cereal. This red, white, and blue print features a white flag with blue text that reads ‘Save sugar on cereal, Ranger Joe, the honey takes the place of the sugar!’, clearly printed when rations were a concern for everyday Americans. Ranger Joe’s cereal, produced by Nabisco in 1939, was the first pre-sweetened cereal to hit the market. Its pricing information is present to the lower right of the advertisement, while the lower left reads ‘How long since you bought war stamps’. Presented behind glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire present to verso.
