A Silver Age The Avengers issue #4 featuring the story ‘Captain America Joins…The Avengers!’. Published by Marvel in March of 1964, this issue features the formal reintroduction of Captain America and Bucky, explaining that at the end of World War II, he ended up in suspended animation in ice after an accident with an experimental plane over the North Atlantic. The script is by comics legend Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby and inks by George Roussos for both the cover and comic. It also has the first appearance, in a shadowed cameo, of Baron Zemo.
