A vintage original oil painting on canvas signed in yellow paint to the lower right by artist J. M. Corcoran, dated 1952. The image depicts a landscape in the vast Western wilderness, home to a mountain lion who prowls along the massive geological formations overlooking incredible mountains and evergreen forests along the edges of a lake. Artist signature and date are marked to the verso as well. This painting is mounted in a vintage wood frame with cast corner embellishments and a white and gold leaf finish.
Condition
- accretion on painting, and notably on frame. Finish of frame is damaged throughout, with cracking, chips in paint, and loss to cast corner details.
