An original signed oil painting on canvas by very well-listed listed American painter Eliot Candee Clark (1883-1980). The painting depicts a surreal winter landscape filled with pine trees bowing deeply under the weight of layered snow. A curious object that seems to be a lamppost stands in the center of the scene. The painting is signed to the lower right, though the signature has partially chipped away. Presented in a wooden frame with antiqued gold tone finish and a hanging wire. Clark was the son of famed Impressionist Walter Clark (1848-1917) and taught at the National Arts Club the Art Students League in New York.
