A Eugene Kingman oil on canvas landscape original. This landscape painting is by listed artist Eugene Kingman (1909-1975) and features a waterfall, stream and trees in a mannerism style. The colors are in muted tones of green, ochre, umber and sienna with highlights to the trees and water to add depth to the painting. The painting is signed ‘Kingman’ to the lower right of the field and is presented with a gold tone fillet in an ornately carved and beveled gold tone wooden frame; a wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- the painting has started yellowing with age, the painting has areas which have been knocked down by being rubbed against and there is a possible point of stretching to the canvas on the middle right, where something has been set against the canvas and left indentation.
