Circa 1980 Fitz and Floyd Hippo Bookends and Coin Bank
Item Details
A group of three circa 1980 hippopotamus figures by Fitz and Floyd. These hand-painted, pale pink hippo figures include a pair of bookends and a coin bank. The bookends depict two sleepy hippos reading copies of a book titled ‘Hippocracy.’ The coin bank hippo opens his mouth wide to allow for the insertion of coins through a slot in his mouth; a rubber stopper is included to the underside. Each piece is stamped ‘Fitz and Floyd, Inc. /©MCMLXXX / FF.’
Condition
- a few small stains; discoloration to decals.
