A selection of Delft Blue tiles with a pharmaceutical theme. These square tiles each have a pharmacy or apothecary motif with an accompanying description to verso. One tile features a coat of arms with the words: ‘Opiferque per orbem dicor’ which is Latin for ‘Throughout the world they speak of me as a bringer of help,’ the motto of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries. Each tile is marked ‘’Delft Plateelbakkery Schoonhoven Holland’ or ‘Delft Holland Handmade.’
