Circa 1920 Victor Victrola Record Player and Records

Item Details

A circa 1920 Victor Talking Machine Co. Victrola with a mahogany cabinet, which opens at the top; also has brass hardware and a side crank. Stamped “Victrola/ Victor Talking Machine Co./ Camden, N.J. U.S.A./ Patented in United States & Foreign Countries”, and phonograph reproducer is marked ‘Victrola No. 2’. Another plaque reads ‘Indianapolis Talking Machine Co./ Indiana’s Shop’. Below the record player is a keyhole with a brass key. There are two sets of cabinet doors to the base with thin shelves to the top and wider shelves to the bottom. The cabinet features paneled and scalloped sides and skirt with scroll patterns, and caster wheels to the feet. Victor/Victrola manuals and Victor binders with records are included. The player comes with original bamboo and steel needles, a brush, and original oil can. Per owner, this once resided in Indianapolis’ Blue Note Lounge.

Condition

- Victrola winds up but has not been played. Signs of some wear to the records, which are untested. Record player and cabinet have scratches and chips to finish.
