A large framed oil painted titled Big Horn Sheep by listed artist Stan Galli (1912-2009). This painting depicts a big horn sheep in the winter snow. It is signed Stanley W. Galli by the artist in the bottom right corner. The painting is framed in gray and brown. Also included is a drawing of the painting, framed and under glass.
Stanley Galli was a prolific Californian illustrator whose work appeared in magazine stories and advertisements from the 1940s to the 1970s. In 1981, he was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Frame adding him to a list of members including Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, and Howard Pyle.
