It depicts a parrot flying by two running deer. It is signed to the lower left ‘S. Galli.’ The painting was in the Weyerhaeuser corporate collection until 2014. A label attached to back read ‘Weyerhaeuser Company Art Collection; Accession Number: 111; Artist: Galli, Stanley W.; Title: Barking Deer and Parrot.’ This painting is presented matted and in a silver tone wooden frame without glass.
