A 1908 first edition, later printing of The Man-Eaters of Tsavo by Lieutenant-Colonel John Henry Patterson, DSO. Published in 1908 by Macmillan and Company in London. 339 pages. Patterson was employed by the Ugandan Railway Company to construct a bridge over the Tsavo River in what is now Kenya. The book tells the story of Patterson’s struggle to fend off lion attacks and retain his workers in East Africa in the last years of the 19th Century.
