A vintage H. Gerstner & Sons Model 042 machinist tool chest. The oak case features a rectangular, hinged lid opening to a green felt-lined storage well with a mirror. The front comes off to reveal eleven drawers with silver-toned knobs and the back of the front panel has a green felt-lined surface. The exterior has a silver-toned lock and clasps with lateral-mounted handles and corner guards. One drawer retains a sticker printed ‘Built By / H. Gerstner & Sons. / Dayton, O. U.S.A. / Model – 042’.
