A sterling silver Christian Communion chalice. This gold tone chalice features square tile details to the fluted stem with grapevines, wheat stalks, and a chi rho, or christogram symbol. It has a fluted skirted base with a Christian cross symbol with an amethyst center. The base is monogrammed, ‘To Thomas Henry/ On the occasion of his ordination to the priesthood/ May 1, 1953 From his Mother and Father/ McGlynn Sterling 4915.’ The total approximate weight is 19.635 ozt.
