A framed watercolor painting by listed artist I-Chao Chu (Chinese 1911-1988). The painting is rendered in inks on fibrous paper, and depicts a serene, snowy mountainside with trees and far-away birds in the sky. It is presented in a gold tone faux bamboo frame with a double mat and glass. The artist’s signature is in the middle, to the side, in the painting. The back of the frame has a history of the artist and his accomplishments over his career.
Condition
- frame has chips and paint marks, lots of wear – back of frame is carboard with tape
- small smudge on mat board
