An abstract oil painting on board by artist R. Brent Malone, MBE (Bahamas, 1941- 2004), dated 1967. This work features fragments of a heavily abstracted face, including an eye, nose, and lips in the central area of the composition. With a palette of mostly oranges, browns, reds, white, and black, patches and splotches of impasto are smeared and applied with gestural brushstrokes that gives the work an overall rough texture. Faint lines fragment the composition into smaller polygonal shapes pieced together. The work is signed and dated in black paint to the lower right. To the verso an graphite inscription is present. Presented in a grainy brown wood frame with a canvas liner and gold-tone fillet.

- minor wear to frame including scratches, holes, and discoloration; paper backing ripped off.
