A watercolor with ink painting on paper by contemporary artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela / New York; b. 1954), dated 2005. The piece depicts an abstract scene with pastel violets, pinks, and oranges. The colors are outlined with black and white ink lines. To the upper left corner, the work is signed and dated by the artist in graphite. Presented as a loose paper without a frame.
Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others.
