19th Century British M1796 Type Saber

Item Details

A 19th century British Model 1796 type light cavalry saber. A handsome piece, though rather well worn, with brass hilt, guard and languet, the steel blade with a single fuller, the handle wooden with leather wrap, the scabbard in leather, with brass tip and hanger. Unmarked.

Condition

Various, the leather scabbard is split, dried, some chipping on the leather handle wrap, blade with some pitting, etc.
