Merriam Company, 1941) is a thick clothbound hardcover with marbled page edges, a thumb index, and illustrations including some color plates. This collection also includes Donohue’s School Dictionary and American Pictorial Handy Lexicon of the English Language (Chicago: M. A. Donohue & Co., c. 1903) and The Harper Dictionary of Modern Thought: New and Revised Edition (New York: Harper & Row, 1977).
Condition
- New International Dictionary: label residue on front cover, fading and discoloration to cover, some discoloration, creasing and edge wear to pages, loose binding, one page ripped; School Dictionary: heavy wear to cover, cloth binding fraying, bumped corners, cracked front hinge.
