1893 World's Fair Memorabilia Including Libbey Glass

An assortment of World’s Fair memorabilia. This collection features an egg-shaped pale pink glass salt shaker with the raised text ‘Columbian Exhibition 1893’ painted in gold tone; the underside is stamped in red, ‘Libbey Cut Glass; Trademark; Toledo O.’ Also included are a floral frosted glass cup and saucer marked ‘Worlds Fair 1893’ to the bottom; a clear glass bowl with a flower petal design, marked ’World’s Fair 1893’ in gold tone; a clear glass ’World’s Fair 1893’ bell; and a book titled History of the World’s Fair by Major Ben C. Truman (Philadelphia: 1893). This lot also includes a clear glass with frosted etching that reads ‘Pan American Exposition 1901; When You Drink, Do Of Me Think.’

Condition

- book shows heavy wear with loose spine, pieces of spine missing, discoloration of pages; some glassware shows surface wear consistent with age.
