An oil painting on linen scroll titled Silence Ten from the Metaophors of Silence series by well-listed American artist Ricardo Morin (Venezuela, b. 1954). Executed in 2012, a braided leather pull is attached the top and a wooden dowel is included to help in weighing the piece down for hanging. Morin immigrated to the United States from Venezuela in 1972. Based in New York and New Jersey, Morin received his B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.F.A. at Yale University. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York; the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts in Brooklyn, New York; and many others.
