Royal Tettau "ROT243" Red and Gold Tea China
Item Details
A red and gold tea china set from Royal Tettau in the ROT243 design. This tea set includes six teacups, one of which is not part of this design; six saucers, a lidded sugar bowl, and a lidded teapot. The saucers have deep red rims adorned with ornate, scrolling foliate gilt patterns, with colorful floral designs in three spots, and three sections around the rim which are slightly ridged. The matched pieces have the same design, including the teapot with a scrolled handle with a single rest, a relatively flat lid with a foliate finial nob, and subtle flutes along the sides, reminiscent of a gourd. These pieces are marked with the Royal Tettau trade mark, and ‘Konigl pr Tettan’. The ROT243 design is no longer in production.
Condition
- some pieces have very minor wear to undersides; gilt accents have little to no losses; these items are in quite good condition overall.
