A Bowie knife replica on panel by Carvel Hall Company. The explanatory plaque reads ‘Bowie Knife, circa 1830, Authentic reproduction of the famous fighting knife of Jim Bowie (1799-1836) *frontiersman and soldier-of-fortune* whose colorful exploits established his name and his remarkable weapon among the legends of the American West.’ On the blade is a marked Colonel James Bowie (1799-1836) with his portrait. The knife features a wood handle, brass spine, and stars on the guard.
