Greco-Roman Style Hand-Painted Night Stands

Item Details

A pair of Greco-Roman style hand-painted night stands. The wooden, chalice-shaped night stands feature circular, tan-colored tops, which are painted with scrolled foliates around the edges. The meander-patterned friezes have single drawers with floral, copper-toned pulls. Within the body is a Greek-inspired, hand-painted garden scene with traditional arches, a rock pond, and olive trees. The scene is framed by a thin layer of gold-toned molding to the top over a lobed bottom. The stems feature a scrolling foliate design, a meander border, and they rest on gold-toned, octagonal bases. One drawer interior retains a tag from ‘White Oak Antiques.’
