Vintage Remington Sewing Machine in a Parsons Cabinet

A vintage Remington sewing machine in a Parson’s cabinet. The sewing machine is marked ‘Remington / Model 715-B / Super DeLuxe / Automatic / Zig Zag / Made in Japan’. It comes with a rear-mounted, ‘Monarch’ motor and foot pedal. The sewing machine is mounted to a hinged platform that folds down into the mahogany-finished cabinet. The cabinet top features two hinged leaves above a single drawer and an open leg compartment on the left and a stack of four drawers on the right. The fronts are fitted with metal handles and the drawers are filled with a variety of sewing supplies, including buttons, bobbins, and a buttonholer attachment. Additional supplies include a pair of Montgomery Ward electronic scissors and an owner’s manual for the sewing machine. The cabinet is marked ‘Parons’.
