A handwoven Persian Serapi area rug. This rug features a small dark blue, light blue, and red center medallion resting in a rich red field with dark blue and pink geometric motifs and light blue palmette pendants. The guard borders display a red and blue carnation pattern on a white background while the main borders also feature a blue and red floral design on a dark blue background. It has dense cotton fringe to either end. The rug is unmarked.
