A watercolor and pencil on paper by well listed American folk painter Frances Currey (1925-2012), known often as ‘Grandma Fran’. This is titled Rural Living and depicts a rural Indiana village with a couple, she in a red dress and he in blue overalls, repeated in various scenes and tasks. It is signed along the bottom ‘Grandma’, This work is presented double matted in red and sage green, under acrylic, in a silver toned wooden frame, wired for hanging. Two exhibition stickers from the Indiana State Museum are attached on verso for the 1988 Reach Bus exhibition.
