A hand-colored engraving by listed artist Alfred Rudolf Waud (1828-1891) titled Cincinnati, View from the Carlisle Hotel. This print depicts an elevated view of Cincinnati, clearly growing but not as sprawling as the Queen City we know today. The title is printed to lower center, and the print is signed in plate to lower left, mounted beneath a layer of silk matting and presented behind glass in a beveled, distressed silver frame with hanging wire present to verso.
