A 1954 first American edition of Drawings by Picasso, published by Harcourt, Brace and Company. This first American edition combines issues 29-30 of Tériade’s Verve, with text by Michel Leiris accompanying a reproduction of one of Picasso’s drawing notebooks from November 28, 1953 to February 3, 1954; this reproduction has been created using both heliogravure and photolithographic printing techniques. The front and back cover were specifically designed by Pablo Picasso for this book; the original dust jacket is also included and covered in a plastic sleeve.
