Handcrafted Italian Majolica Serving Platter by Sol LeWitt
Item Details
A handcrafted Italian majolica serving platter by Sol LeWitt, circa 1986-1988. Inspired by the majolica pottery of Deruta, Italy, the piece features a ten-pointed star with a glossy blue underglaze and a clear gloss glaze on top. Each star design is unique features a varied amount of points per star. To the underside of the plate, the handmade piece is stamped “S. Lewitt / copyright / 1986(?) / Made in Deruta” in blue underglaze.
