A set of handcrafted Sol LeWitt Italian majolica ceramic dinnerware, circa 1980s. Included in the set are two blue-on-white dinner plates, two white-on-blue salad plates, and two blue-on-white soup bowls, having a variety of his signature star patterns. Inspired by the majolica pottery of Deruta, Italy, the pieces feature a variety of pointed stars in a glossy blue underglaze with a clear glaze on top. Each star design is unique features a varied amount of points per star. To the underside of the handmade pieces, they are stamped ‘S. Lewitt / copyright / 1986? / Made in Deruta’ in blue underglaze.
