A vintage Rosenthal Künstlertasse Nr. 25 Salome cup and saucer. This item features a cone-shaped cup with handles that are right-angle triangles to the sides, resting on a smaller cone-shaped pedestal, and a matching saucer. The surface areas of the cup and saucer are separated into shades of the primary colors, red, yellow, and blue, with a linear design rendered in gold enamel to create a textural effect. Both items are marked to the undersides with the Rosenthal hallmark, the stamp ‘Künstlertasse Nr. 25 Salome,’ and printed with the artist’s signature. The artist’s signature and ‘89’ are also printed in gold in the white center of the saucer. Made in Germany.
Condition
- some fading in gold pattern; minor stains and scratches to the undersides and bowl of cup.
