Belgian Art Nouveau Pottery Vase
Item Details
An Art Nouveau stoneware pottery vase, circa 20th century, from the Belgian Art Pottery movement. It has a tapered shape and glossy moss green glaze over a groggy stoneware clay. Three applied strap handles have a curving form, wrapping around the exterior of the vessel from the wide shoulder. Marked ‘Made in Belgium’ with an impressed stamp to the underside, with incised artist’s marks.
Condition
- slight pitting from the firing process as a result of iron in the clay.
