Linda Plotkin "Two Elms" Signed Limited Edition Lithograph

A signed limited edition lithograph titled Two Elms by well-listed American painter and printmaker Linda Plotkin (b.1938), who is best known for her abstract landscape, still life and city scenes, that widely range in style, often with monochromatic color schemes. Plotkin’s work has been exhibited at numerous esteemed institutions and museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This black and white lithograph features a simple landscape scene depicting two small buildings along the lower margin with a pair of large trees in the background and a single lane road going off into the distance. This piece is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right margin with the title written in the center and is numbered 16 out of an edition of 120 to the lower left. The print has a single white mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a simple metal frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.

This sale features several other similar pieces by the same artist, including 16CIN607-059 and 16CIN607-075.

Condition

Minor scratches to plexiglass and frame. Cracking to glass in the top left corner. Glass is popping out of the frame along the bottom. Slight rippling to print throughout.
