A set of twelve books from the 1868 Cleartype Edition of The Works of Charles Dickens, published by Books, Inc. This set includes titles such as Oliver Twist, Great Expectations, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities, Nicholas Nickleby, Little Dorrit, and more. Each volume is bound in burgundy cloth with black text blocks and gilt lettering and ornamentation to the spine. The front covers are embossed with the face of Charles Dickens.

- not a complete set; gilt ornamentation is worn off of most spines; a few stains to exteriors; fraying and tears to spine ends; discolored pages; edge wear; some have loose binding and broken hinges; Hard Times has some water damage to the cover; Martin Chuzzlewit has some crayon markings inside; David Copperfield has some tattered pages and the binding is completely broken.
