Louis Cardin Original Enamel Painting on Copper
Item Details
An original enamel on copper painting by reputed French artist Louis Cardin (born 1931). Cardin creates bright scenes of children playing using kiln-fired enamel pigments over copper, often with a loosely splattered surface texture. This scene depicts a mother walking behind her two children through a field of vibrant wildflowers. The piece is presented in a carved wooden frame with antiqued gold tone finish and a hanging wire. Cardin was a student of very well-listed French Cubist Andre L’ Hote (1885 – 1962).
