An oil painting on canvas of a fruit still life by listed 19th-century artist Edwin Steele. Within brown tonalities in the background, the piece depicts a pair of apples, green and red grapes, and leaves set on a brown surface and against a dark brown background. The piece is signed by the artist ‘E. Steele’ to the lower right corner. The work is presented without glass, and housed in a beveled gold-tone frame. There is a faded Winsor & Newton canvas stamp to verso.

- minor craquelure to painting; minor abrasion to frame; relined canvas.
