An oil painting on canvas of a seascape by well-listed Italian artist Guido Odierna (1913-1991). This work features a view of the ocean with the beach and rock formations in the foreground. The setting sun brightens the sky and water with orange, red, pink, and purple hues. The movement of the waves and the texture of the rocks are portrayed with detailed brushwork. Without any people present, the artist captures a sublime scene of natural beauty. The work is signed in black paint to the lower right. Presented in a gold-tone wood frame with an elaborate floral relief design, a linen mat, and a gold-tone fillet, the work is ready to hang with picture wire to the verso.
