A vintage wooden sewing chest with a mahogany finish. This rectangular chest features a hinged lid, carved scalloped trim below the lip, reeded corners, and a black-painted central panel with floral decoration and gilt trim. The chest opens to reveal a compartment with two divided trays resting near the top; it sits upon four cabriole legs on castors.
