An Annie Lee figurine and matching print after First Mother. The print depicts an African woman in a yellow robe, sitting with feet facing forward, holding a small child in her lap. She has large, dangling loop earrings hanging from her right ear, and bangles on her left ankle. The mother figure and the child do not have facial features. The background has colors of yellow and brown. The image is signed in the plate to the right ‘Annie Lee ’96’, housed in a gilt wood frame, and marked to the back ‘Print Transfer’. A sawtooth hanger is attached to the back. The matching figurine, made of plastic, is marked to the bottom ‘Sass ’n Class Annie Lee 1997’ and Annie Lee & Friends Sandy USA, Inc. 1998 Made in China’.
