Item Details
A mixed media on paper titled Bad Jamma #3 by listed Cincinnati artist Thom Shaw (1947 – 2010), dated 1986. This work features a series of geometrical forms, zigzag and convoluted lines intertwined, within red, blue, purple, gray, yellow and green tonalities applied in multiple minuscule patterns throughout the piece. Constructed with watercolor, oil painting, and crayon, creating a balanced composition between texture, color, and form. The piece is unsigned and presented behind glass, laid on a floating white mat, under a white mat board, and housed in a simple wooden frame. There is a ‘Toni Birckhead Gallery’ descriptive label, a ‘Scripps Howards, INC’ property label and wire attached to the verso.
