James Butler Limited Edition Color Lithograph "Midsummer Landscape"
Item Details
A signed limited edition color lithograph titled _Midsummer Landscape _, created in 1989 by well-listed American artist James D. Butler (b. 1945). This work features an elevated perspective of a hilly panoramic landscape. Green patches of grazed land separate large clumps and lines of trees; small rural houses and town buildings are dwarfed by the vast plains extending to the distant background. The work is signed and dated by hand in graphite to the lower right; it is numbered 76/1000 to the lower center and titled to the lower left. The print is mounted on a white background. Displayed under glass with white matting and a wood frame, the work is ready to hang picture wire to the verso. A label from the Toni Birckhead Gallery is also adhered to the verso, along with a sticker that reads ‘Property of Scripps-Howard.’ For more information about the artist, please see the link below.
