Rick Paul Mixed Media Painting on Paper "Keys III"
Item Details
A signed mixed media painting on paper titled Keys III, completed in 1986 by artist Rick Paul. With acrylic and pastel on paper, this mixed media work features a semi-abstract illustration of architectural structures and geometric shapes, including a house to the upper right, a ship to the upper left, a bridge, a plank, star shapes, structures with steps and ladders, and bodies of water. The overall composition is portrayed with a pastel palette, simple linear delineations, and gestural brushstrokes. The work is titled to the lower left; it is signed and dated to the lower right. Presented under glass with a wood frame and a linen mat, the work is ready to hang with picture D-rings affixed to the verso. A label from the Toni Birckhead Gallery is adhered to the verso, along with a sticker that reads ‘Property of Scripps-Howard’.
