John Ruthven Limited Edition Offset Lithograph "Black Maned Lion"

A signed offset lithograph after an original work by well-listed Cincinnati-based wild-life artist John Ruthven (b. 1924), titled Black Maned Lion. This work is from Ruthven’s Safari Series and features a male lion with its mouth ajar and perched on a rock. The work is signed both by hand and in plate to the lower right and is numbered 3775/5000 to the lower left margin. It is titled to the lower center margin and marked ‘Plate IV’ to the upper left. The print is displayed under glass and is double-matted with two shades of brown mats. Presented in a wood frame with a silver-tone inner border, it is ready to hang with picture wire to the verso.
