Item Details

A turn-of-the century Victorian repoussé gilded inkwell set. This wonderful piece features a thick square glass inkwell with gridded base, having an attached hinged lid mount. The inkwell lid is accented with a prong set emerald green glass cabochon and framed by C scroll reliefs and beaded edging. The inkwell sits snugly on a thin gilded metal repoussé tray with attached stamp container. The tray is marked ‘Pat Apld. For Pat. July 1899’ to tray beneath inkwell.

Condition

to fair – some areas of discoloration to metal and gilt finish.
