Antique Victorian Mirrored Sideboard with Marble Top

Item Details

An antique Victorian mirrored sideboard with marble top. Features an ornate pediment with pyramidal, dentil, incised and foliate detailing throughout. The top of the pediment is supported by two incised columns. The mirror is beveled and rests above the rose marble top of the sideboard. The cabinet features two velvet lined top drawers and a full sized middle drawer. Each drawer is finished with original brass bails and pulls and escutcheons. The bottom cabinet is fronted by double doors, each featuring geometric carvings to the front and round brass pulls. The piece features carved walnut and burl walnut veneer construction. The piece features Knapp/scallop and peg joinery to the drawers, dating the sideboard to the late Victorian period of the late nineteenth century.
