W.E. Baker 19th Century Equestrian Oil Painting on Canvas
Item Details
An original 19th-century oil painting on canvas by an artist named W.E. Baker. The painting depicts a stunning formal portrait of a chestnut horse with white markings in profile. The horse stands in a wide dirt landscape, and a bright expansive sky fills the horizon. The painting is signed and dated very faintly to the lower right. The date seems to read ‘’88,’ though the second number is very difficult to read. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with a cast surface, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire.
