A Collection of petrified wood. This collection of petrified wood comprises two chunks, one light brown in color and the other black in color with browns. Petrified wood is the terminology given to the fossilized remains of trees and other terrestrial plant life. It is the result of trees or plants having been transformed into stone by a geological process known as per-mineralization. The origin and age of this particular piece are unknown.
