1946 Rookwood Pottery Hound Dog Bookends
Item Details
A pair of 1946 Rookwood Pottery hound dog bookends. These charming pieces feature the form of a downward glancing hound dog, in a seated position on a rectangular base. The figures are finished with an ivory matte glaze. One piece has a Rookwood flame mark with Roman numeral ‘XLVI’ for 1946 and mold number ‘2998.’ The second piece has an illegible mark, with both having an etched ‘X’ indicating they are seconds.
Condition
- Both pieces are seconds with glaze imperfections and an etched “X” to base.
