Item Details
A mixed media poster print on paper titled Pan Am 747 by well-listed artist Peter Max (1937). With Max’s characteristic use of bright colors, simple lines, and celestial bodies, the work depicts a Pan Am 747 plane among planets and stars on a gradient background. The plane is rendered using offset lithography while the rest of the print is comprised of half-tone dots. To the lower center, the work is copyrighted in plate with Max’s cartouche. To the lower right corner, the piece is marked in plate ‘Printed in USA P-200 10/69’. Mounted onto a floating mat of light purple, the item is presented under a single layer of dark purple mat, backed with corrugated cardboard, and encased in protective plastic. Note that this item is not framed and is not ready to hang.
